1. Favoriser le partage des expériences, des expertises et des connaissances acquises;

This conference  brought together over thirty activists, artists and academics from a dozen different countries.

It will address the issues facing lesbian, gay and two-spirit women, women-who-love-women, and transgendered, intersex and queer-identified women.

It responded to the following question:

What are their struggles and what forms do they take?

We will see that they revolve around issues of social justice that denounce the devastating effects of neo-liberalism, colonialism, racism, slavery, sexual discrimination, etc… that characterize heterosocial systems (i.e. those that institutionalize the hierarchical ordering of social groups).

It did so by rearticulating that we are living in a period that places emphasis on image and appearance that mask underlying anti-democratic capitalist processes.

The conference has two primary objectives:

1. to promote the sharing of acquired experiences, expertise and knowledge;

2. to permit the establishment of transnational and interdisciplinary solidarity networks. It will take place in an accessible space in English and French.
